First time Webdadi users will need to setup their Webdadi to avoid login issues caused by pop up blockers and browser security features.
Introduction:
Webdadi is an internet based application which is treated like a 'pop up' by browsers such as Internet Explorer.
In order to ensure that you have full access to all the fantastic functionality that is available within Webdadi each user will need to add Webdadi to their browsers 'trusted internet sites' and will need to ensure that the pop up blocker facility is turned off.
Webdadi have devised a quick and easy way to help you do this.
Resolution:
To set up your Webdadi:
1.) Go to the Webdadi login area but do not enter your username or password.
2.) You will see a 'Set Up My Webdadi' button in the top left hand corner of the login area.
3.) Simply click on the 'Set Up My Webdadi' button.
4.) Click 'Ok' to all the pop up windows that appear once a set up has begun.
5.) This will add Webdadi to your trusted internet sites and will turn off your pop up blockers.
6.) Close all Internet Explorer windows.
7.) Re-open Webdadi using Internet Explorer.
8.) Simply add your username and password and login!
NOTE: If you experience any problems when trying to setup your Webdadi, for example if you have no permissions, you can complete this task manually by following the instructions below:
1.) Click on "Tools" in the top right of your browser

Shows how to upgrade Internet Explorer to the latest version
Introduction:
You can upgrade by going to this link: http://microsoft.com/uk/IE8
Resolution:
We are starting to phase out use of old browsers such as IE6 or IE7, as they are much slower and allow Webdadi to use less features. Internet Explorer 8 is available as a free download from Microsoft and runs faster and more stable than previous versions. You can upgrade by going to this link: http://microsoft.com/uk/IE8

A pop-up blocker can stop some features of Webdadi working, for example the right click menu
Resolution:
Internet Explorer:
1.) Click the Toolbar's wrench icon.
2.) On the Tools tab, select (or deselect) the 'Pop-up blocker' checkbox.
3.) Click Save.
If you allow pop-ups on a website, the Pop-up blocker saves your preference for future visits and adds the site to an 'Allowed sites' list. The next time you visit that website, the Pop-up blocker will continue to allow pop-up windows to appear. You can allow or disallow pop-ups by toggling the Pop-up blocker button on and off while on the site.
Google Toolbar
The Google toolbar has a pop-up blocker that can also cause problems.
To disable:
1.) Click on the spanner icon on the far right hand side of the Google tool bar
2.) Click tools
3.) Untick the pop-up blocker box and save

Using Webdadi from different locations.
Resolution:
It is possible to use Webdadi from home, provided that there has been no security placed on your Webdadi. First ask your management if there is any security on your system, if there is not, you can access Webdadi as normal. Go to your website internet address and add "/v5" on the end of it. E.g. www.webdadi.com/v5
If there is security on your Webdadi, we can set it up so that you are able to access it from your home and nowhere else, but you will need to have a static IP address. (An internet address that does not change; You can contact your ISP about this.) Once you have confirmed please contact us and we will help you set this up.
NOTE: Your branch manager's permission will be required!
